This is one of those “Why didn’t I think of that?” moments. The LPGA debuted a new addition to the caddy bibs at the Wegman’s LPGA Championship this week in Pittsford, NY: twitter handles. Yes, that’s right, LPGA players with twitter accounts will have them advertised on the backs of their caddies.
How long will it be before we see “@shattdueces” above a player’s number? Or “@GrillCheese49” on the back of a baseball uniform? In reality, given the current uniform policies of a few leagues, it may take a while and involve a lot of rules changes. But hey, rules were made to be broken, bent, folded, spindled, and mutilated, right?
